This Organic Wholemeal Self-Raising Flour is made by milling Australian whole-wheat grain and then adding the leavening agents Bicarb soda and Cream of Tartar. With a slightly coarser texture than white flour, it has a lovely fresh aroma and nutty flavour. It has no artificial additives and is GMO-free. This flavoursome Wholemeal flour can be used as all-purpose Self-Raising flour and is suitable for all baking and everyday cooking needs.
How to Use:
Organic Wholemeal Self Raising Flour is delicious and can be used for all your home-baked goodies and any time a recipe calls for self-raising flour. It is absolutely scrumptious in puddings and cakes, muffins and cookies.
As this Australian wholemeal flour has a stronger texture than white self-raising flour it will absorb more moisture. If a recipe does not stipulate wholemeal flour you will likely need to add more liquid. Try letting your mix sit for a little while. Then, after absorption has taken place, add more moisture as needed.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool (10 – 12oC), dry place away from direct sunlight. Refrigerate in warm climates.
Shelf Life:
Up to 12 months, when stored as above. See Best Before date.
