Mountain (or Tasmanian) Pepperleaf is native to the woodlands and cool temperate climate of south-east Australia. Indigenous people have used it as a flavour for food and as bush medicine for generations.
This ground Pepperleaf is wild-harvested in Tasmania, where it grows pesticide-free. Pepperleaf has an aromatic, wild spicy flavour and can be used to replace ground pepper in any recipe or as a delicious Bush Tucker condiment.
How to Use:
Dried, ground Mountain Pepperleaf is a wonderful spicy Australian Bushfood plant that can be used every day, in every way, to replace the conventionally used vine peppercorns.
Add Mountain Pepperleaf to salad dressings, seasoning mixes and marinades. Substitute this native ground pepperleaf anywhere that ground or cracked black or white pepper is called for. Even add a pinch to your next Chai pot for a warming lift.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. See Best Before date.
