This Daintree Dark Chocolate is the first commercially produced chocolate in the world to be made from cocoa grown in Australia. In fact, this is the only ‘Pod to Plate’ chocolate made commercially in Australia. Daintree Estates chocolate is 100% made in Australia, from cocoa grown in tropical Far North Queensland by Australian farmers. These Dark Chocolate Couverture Buttons have a smooth textured, and deep, rich cocoa flavour with fruity background notes typical of Australian Origin Cocoa Beans.
How to Use:
Enjoy this wonderfully rich Daintree Dark Chocolate whenever you feel like a sweet treat knowing it contains nothing artificial. Add these delectable buttons to your favourite hiker’s combo of nuts, seeds and dry fruit. 70 % Cocoa content makes this a great cooking chocolate. Add whole, or roughly diced, to cookie and muffin recipes.
Melt in a double saucepan (or bowl) over gently simmering water. Use melted chocolate to dip seasonal fruit, coat nuts, or create beautiful ganache, to ice cakes or serve with puddings, by gently folding in pure cream once the chocolate has just slightly cooled.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool (<22o C.), dry place, away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration recommended in warm climates.
Shelf Life:
Up to 18 months when stored as above. See Best Before date.

NOTE: Our chocolates are cool, but the weather is not. We will do our best to protect them when being delivered, but they may be heat affected if travelling long distances. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that they will arrive in the same shape as when they left us.
